The brand voice and product experience for Nala AI felt misaligned—the interface was “vibe-coded,” lacking the clarity, consistency, and intentional tone needed to support educators and students effectively.

Nala AI was based on the CEO's pet golden doodle's name. I wanted to evoke an inspiring, joyful model for teachers and students alike.

I designed the components and UI elements to maintain a cohesive voice across the devices. Nala AI did not have an in-house designer at the time, so I documented the components so they could be reusable for the team and applied to future components created to maintain a cohesive visual identity.

Designed a more glanceable experience for Nala AI by prioritizing only the most relevant data and using color intentionally, while streamlining lesson creation for educators. Improved accessibility for students by embedding Nala AI directly into the bottom of gamified lessons for easy, on-demand support.

One of the key challenges Nala AI aimed to solve was enabling teachers to deliver lessons in multiple languages. To support this, I introduced a clearly visible language dropdown on the student interface—making it easy for teachers to quickly switch languages as needed and ensure content remains accessible for all students.
